GMAT vs GRE
Which is the most suitable for you?
What is the process you have to follow?
Procedure to follow before selection:
- First you identify the program which is the most suitable for you (link)
- Some schools care more about Quant and others care more about Verbal. Talk to the admissions committee, alumni, and current students.
-
Note! GRE gives two independent grades for Quant and Verbal and GMAT a whole overall grade;
So, if you are particularly good at one of the two parts you can promote that in your application by taking GRE.
In Dia Gerontoudi Prep Center, we help you to score for a better than the average GMAT/GRE score (the records of our students show that) and thus there is the aim to:
- Improve your odds of acceptance, do better than average.
- Prep for the GRE/GMAT with your target score in mind
- Research your GRE / GMAT scores ahead of time, in order to determine what areas to focus on for your prep
- Help you achieve a strong GRE/GMAT score which is not only one of the most important admissions factors, but also an important tool in securing a strong financial aid package and more opportunities for fellowships.
- Note that some MBA’s admit students with GRE
CHOICE ACCORDING TO SKILLS
- If you have very strong math skills, but feel that your English skills (particularly vocabulary) are weaker, consider taking the GMAT.
- If you have very strong English skills (particularly if your vocabulary is stronger than your grammar knowledge), but feel less confident in math, consider taking the GRE.
- If your verbal and math skills are about equal, consider taking the GRE.
- If you are applying to a program focusing specifically on your Quantitative or Verbal scores (such as Engineering), consider taking the GRE
