The GRE is a section-adaptive exam: your second sections of Verbal and Math adapt (become harder or easier) depending on your overall performance in your first section of Verbal and Math, respectively. That means that you can skip questions and move around within a section, much as you can on more traditional, paper-based exams. The tests in Greece are conducted by ETS.
- If you have very strong English skills (particularly if your vocabulary is stronger than your grammar knowledge), but feel less confident in math, consider taking the GRE.
- If your verbal and math skills are about equal, consider taking the GMAT.

FAQ
GRE FAQ
The Graduate Record Examination is a standardized computer test for admissions to pursue a graduate or business program in a graduate or business school in the USA and in other universities around the world. It is a section-adaptive exam conducted by ETS.
After completing the test, you will take an independent grade for each of the parts Verbal and Quant (reported on a 130-170 score scale, in 1-point increments), and an independent grade for the Analytical Writing section on a scale from 1-6 (0.5 increments).
It depends on the target score. It should be on a daily basis (7 days a week) – a minimum of 2-3 hours per day.
It is very important that the computer simulation is based on real past papers, as the simulations made by big publishing firms vary in difficulty compared to the real test.
Total time is 1 hours and 58 minutes.
You should take the test as early as possible before the graduate school application deadline. Some universities may also accept pending scores; so that gives you some extra time to prepare.
This test evaluates candidates and provides a means of comparison for the admissions offices of postgraduate programs. It classifies candidates in percentiles according their Quant and Verbal skill respectively. It also provides a means to evaluate their writing skills in 2 different type of essays.
